About Artist Tanja

Tanja Lategan Sank is a South African watercolour and ink artist, art educator, and curated art-event host.

Her work exists at the meeting place between fine art and human connection. Whether creating commissioned artworks for five-star interiors, teaching students their first brushstrokes, or guiding guests through immersive art experiences, her intention remains the same: art should be personal, meaningful, and memorable.

Over the years she has developed a distinctive mark-making style recognised in private collections and luxury hospitality spaces. Her large-scale hotel commissions are created in dialogue with interior palettes and atmosphere — artworks designed not simply to decorate a room, but to complete it.

She is the founder of Young Art Masters Academy, where creativity is nurtured through structured yet expressive teaching. Tanja also offers dedicated beginner watercolour classes for adults — calm, welcoming sessions designed for anyone who has ever wanted to paint, regardless of experience.

As an event host, she curates refined art experiences where every detail is thoughtfully planned and each guest is guided step-by-step to create a piece they are proud to keep. More than an activity, these experiences centre around creativity, conversation, and connection.
